Problem with protected actuals in Project

Hello,
opening one of our projects from the server I get an
import error message reading:

"An import error occurred: Cheque row 5 column
RES_OVT_WORK. This is not a valid value or it is outside
the range for this column."

In the dscribed field i have one project with one resource
assigned to it - and somehow i have the work for this
project being -208.333.331,1 days. I assume this is the
problem. sadly i don't know how to change the work
sceduled there - what could i do???? if i change it to the
originally sceduled 12 days it tells my i can't cahge
protected actuals. i even tried to delet this task and
then post a new one - but i can't even delet it -

any suggestions how i could solve this???
