problem with removing hotmail folder after delting hotmail.PST fil

I had a hotmail folder and i accidentaly mucked up and then deleted it's PST
file,but when i tried to delete the Hotmail folder from within
outlook(outlook 2003)I get a message this set of folders cannot be opened.
Also when i go tools>email accounts the hotmail folder is not listed.
I just want to delete the folder from the MAIL sidebar. Any help would be
most appreciated
