Problem with Resource Usage

We have a resources working on a number of projects (say
A, B & C) that are linked by milestones. The plan for
each is published in Project Server. When I open A, I see
that Project2003 also opens B & C, and the resglobal a
number of times. If I look at the Resource Usage view for
project A, I see rows that relate to Resource X in
projects B & C even though Resource X is not assigned to a
task in project A. This doesn't seem right. Have I
missed something ?

When you have multiple projects open in Project Server, the Resource Usage
view shows all of the resource assignments in all of the open projects.

Kevin:

To add to Dale's comment, If resource X is a member of the team for project
A, regardless of whether resource X has been added to a task, you will see
total assignment hours for that resource in all other projects as summary
lines in the Resource Usage view.
