Problem with saving to versions

We use the versions when working on certain documents in our office. We have
one that has 4 versions dating as far back as 2004. Recently we saved
another version and it saved that information to all the other versions. So
now my 2004 document has my current information in it. Any idea how to fix
this? Any way to recover the data?

Hi mcomo,

What version of Word are you using? Are you saving individual files with different dates or are you using the File=>Versions
feature of Word?

If you are saving individual files and you edited and saved back to the same name then you may need to recover an earlier version of
the file from a backup location.
