I set up a database a while back and had built in commands withing several
forms that when selected, generate a report that is then emailed to a
pre-defined email address. It worked in the past with no problem. Now when I
try to perform the same commands I am getting an error message from outlook
express that reads:
The host '(e-mail address removed)' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server:
'(e-mail address removed)', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
This follows a dialogue box that tells me "A programe is attempting to send
the following email on your behalf" asking me whether I want to send it.
Neither of these boxes came up before and despite what I choose to do with
the options I'm given the email is not sending. Can anyone shed any light on
what the problem might be? As I understand it the server is not being found
and I need to change the server name. How would I go about doing that?
