A colleague of mine is having problems with Microsoft Office on her Compaq
Evo N115 laptop. I asked her to see it because she told me that Microsoft
Word was no longer on it. She also said that she had deleted "some things".
(yep) We all received the same type of laptop three years ago (came with
Microsoft Office XP Professional)...so I was a bit curious. She was right! I
tried to restore to several previous dates. Microsoft Word now shows up as a
program but an error comes up. It states:
Problem with Shortcut
This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists
and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that
this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
