Hi.
I've recently instlled Office 2003 professional.
After install I hooked up with my Exchange 2000 server at
work with my domain user account. It started
synchronizing the folders as normal. Unfortunately
dyring sync my netwok cable was pulled out by accident
before the sync was completed. I re-attached the cable
but Outlook wouldn't finish sync. The status bar
indicates 'Waiting to sychronize folder'. This statement
is permanent.
I contacted my It professionals at work and they told me
to shut down Outlook and delete any local .ost files. I
was then told to restart Outlook. The sync started again
but failed at the point of earlier network breech.
I've tried to restart Outlook with the /resetfolders
switch but this didn't help either.
I also tried to run system restore in Win XP to a
date/time prior to Office 2003 installation and re-
installed Outlook. Still same problem.
As a last resort I tried to re-install my entire
computer. The problem is still there.
Because of this it seems likely the problem is related to
the Exchange server.
We also have a Citrix Terminal server farm at work. When
logging in to the Citrix server and running Outlook 2000
client there the sync is OK.
The problem is therefore related to sync between my local
computer and the Exchange server.
Does anybody know if there are pointers etc. in the
Exchange database related to computer name?
Anybody else experienced similar problems?
Please advice.
Kind regards
