Problem with template on different computers

Okay,
This is a weird problem (Word 2000). We have a document that is saved as a
template (for some reason, why I don't know, but saving it as a regular
document doesn't help either). Anyway, the problem is this. When you open
the template on one computer, everything looks fine (tables with numbers in
the right position and all). When you open the same template on another
computer, things are messed up. The numbers don't show up on the page, and
are actually off to the right of the table, etc. We have several computers
that this can happen on and several others that can open it just fine. I
was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and has a fix for it.
The computers that are having the problem opening it properly do have the
most current updates for MS Office. They also are using the same fonts that
the computers that are opening it correctly have. I didn't really check to
see if the ones that are opening it correctly have all the updates, but I
don't think that would matter. Unless an update did cause the problem.

Someone please help...

Thanks,
Dave P

Check --

a) fonts. If any fonts used in the document are missing Word makes a guess
as to what font to use. Different character widths and kerning can shift
your text, change your line and page breaks, etc.

b) printer. Word reads the settings (page size, minimum margins) from the
default printer and applies them to the document.

I have only ever heard of this problem when the computers are running
different Office Versions, like 97/2000/Xp/2003. Are you sure they are the
same?
