problem with upgrade to Groove 2007

Chris

Our small business is in the process of upgrading from Groove 3.02 to Groove
2007.

The users who have upgraded from 3.02 to 2007 have had no problem continuing
to use the workspaces they created in 3.02.

However, several new users have been added who started with Groove 2007, and
these users have been unable to access the old workspaces. They get an error
message stating:

"You cannot accept invitations from earlier Groove versions.

Groove is configured to accept invitations to workspaces created in Groove
version 2007 or later."

The workaround solution we've used til now has been to copy all data in the
old workspace and create a new workspace. However, this is labor intensive,
and as a result, the information on date last modified and who last modified
changes, so we're unable to track who was last working with a file.

Is there a way to do any of the following:

1-Access old workspaces via Groove 2007 (ideal)
2-update / create new workspaces without changing to the "last modified by"
fields
3-capture the last modified by/on information easily w/o using screenshots

Thanks in advance.

Hi Chris -

Good news- there's a single configuration option you can change in Groove
2007 to allow it to accept old spaces.

From the Launchbar, choose Options | Preferences | Security and uncheck the
checkbox under "Workspace Restrictions".

After that you should be able to accept the space invites.
