Problem with Word during startup

I am running Win XP Pro SP1 with Word 2002.

On system startup, Word is set to start maximized with a
document open. It does start, open maximized and opens
the document. The problem is that the document is only
open in the upper left 1/3 of the document window. To
get the document maximized I must double click the title
bar to minimize Word and then double click it again to
maximize it. After doing this, the document is open
maximized in its window.

Is there anything I can do to assure that the document
always open correctly?
