Problem

Publisher 2003 beta with the latest upgrade:
When I turn to a page (with grafics) in a
document, the grafics are blinking - twinkling (I don?t
knew the right word) twice, three times, sometimes ten
times or more, and I can?t stop it.
I also have the latest video driver.
Has anybody else this problem?

Hi Berndt,

Is this in all .PUB files or only one?

Was this publication created in this version
or an earlier one?

Do you get the same thing if you start Publisher 2003
in Office safe mode (hold ctrl key whey clicking the
Publisher shortcut/icon)?

I have the identical problem in FrontPage beta. If I delete the offending page my
problem is solved, however it worked okay in FrontPage 2002. We never found a
solution. It seems to read the page over and over, never giving an error, but
difficult to edit. I assumed it was the size of the page and the many links, but it
was the same in another web we have with one image and two links.

Hi Berndt,

Can you zip and email me a copy of a file where you're
seeing this occur in Pub2003 B2TR and also from
Help=>About=>[System Info] include in the .ZIP
file a copy of the System Information Report saved
from the 'Action'/File menu?

Hi Mary,

Do you get it only in FP 2003 B2TR and not in Publisher 2003?
Can you zip and email me a website or web document that
you're seeing this in along with the steps to reproduce
and include in the Zip a copy from Help=>About in a 2003
app the 'system information report' for your PC?

Hi Berndt,

I've received the files, thank you, and have forwarded
it on to some folks to look at. I didn't get the flashing
when testing it. If you right click on the desktop in
Windows and change the display settings for acceleration
down 2 clicks, do you still get the same problem?

Hi Berndt,

Hmmm. In the pub file you sent the only graphic
was a pushpin as part of an autoshape on page 4
with a border art edge (Pushpin #1) and a small arrow
on page 3.

Where are you seeing the issue with the flashing graphic?

What zoom setting are you using?
