problem

Hi .. I'm using office 2000 with OS XP. Have had flawless performance
until late last week .. when I try and launch Word .. it get to the
first screen and freezes ... I've tried repairing, uninstalling &
deleting eliminating entries in registry then reinstalling .. but
nothing works ... any ideas ...

Dear Bob
Have you tried deleting your Normal.dot. This is the all singing all
dancing template which loads when Word opens. It runs in the
background but can sometimes get corrupted. Close Word - Click on
Start, Search for Files and Folders and type Normal.dot. Once you
locate it, right click and Open Containing Folder. Delete the
Normal.dot. Open Word. Hopefully this will work for you.
