Problematic text box: out of memory

D

Dan

Somehow, a text box in my document template is causing all
sorts of problems. (I posted about another one in
m.p.w.drawing.graphics.)

If I open the .dot and just delete the text box, nothing
more, then save the .dot, the file becomes corrupted. I
can Open the corrupted .dot with no problems, but creating
a New document from it results in an Out of Memory error.

The same is true if instead of deleting the text box, I
just modify it, such as by breaking its link to the next
box. (By the way, there is no next box, which is why I
want to break the link. The box only contains one word.
I don't know what it's currently linking to, because
clicking the Next Text Box button does nothing. I also
want to break the link because, for some reason, unless I
do, the word inside the box won't print, even though it
appears on the screen.)

Assuming my file is corrupted, are there any tools to
analyze/fix it?
