Problems getting mail from yahoo

A friend of mine just upgraded to XP. He set up his
email account to yahoo using pop.mail.yahoo.com and
smtp.mail.yahoo.com. User ID and password are correct
since he can go directly to yahoo with IE and it works.

The outlook way does not work. He followed the directions
in yahoo to the tee.

Anyone else have or hear of problems with this.

He even tried Outlook Express and got the same message.

I tried it on my PC with Outlook 2000 and got the same
message.

Is your friend using the paid service? It is required for use with Outlook.
