Problems in Design View

I've seen this addressed in other areas of the forum and have tried all of
the suggestions, but I'm still having trouble with viewing in Design view.
Everything's fine when I enter the first folder. When I enter the second and
ensuing folders, I see the square, dot and circle where the graphics ought to
be and the url of the include page where the included page contents ought to
be. I use frames in some of the folders. When I open the frames page, I see
that it is trying to get the contents for both parts of the frame but they
never appear. I called Microsoft tech support. One technician had me make
changes in regedit (didn't help so I changed them back). Another had me
remove firewalls (didn't help) and then told me that some features of FP 2003
are not compatible with XP (strange). I just upgraded from FP 2000 so all of
my files were created in that edition. Would that make a difference? Any help
would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm getting frustrated with FP 2003. Thanks.

Here's some more on this. The first time a page fails to open an include, I
get the error: Couldn't find file C:\Documents and Settings\...\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir\9d01f1fe.htm. There's
nothing in that folder because I cleared it out. Should I put that back in
and, if so, how?

Also, I just uploaded a picture to a page. After I saved it, all the other
graphics and includes came up for that page. When I went to the next page, it
was the same old problem.

By the way, everything on the pages appears correctly in Preview mode and in
the remote site.

After the include error(s) just hit F5 and the page should refresh and show the include page
- it's a known intermittent bug w/ no fix

The F5 works sometimes. Still, it's telling me that it can't find some files
it's looking for in the Temp Files. Also, when I open a frames page, I see
gray windows and the message that each part of the frame is getting the file,
but the pages never populate the frames.
