Hi,
I am experiencing a strange problem.
When I try to view resources or any other page with a grid or combo box
in Project Web Access I get the following error

---------------------------
VBScript: Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003
---------------------------
An error occurred while trying to access the resources stored on the
database. Either there are too many resources, or the Project Server may not
have the correct DSN configuration. Contact the server administrator.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Is this got to do with the registry getting skrewed up.

Coz I installed MS Project server after unstalling the
corrupted copy of the same but that dint help...

I did a bit of googling but that dint help, they point that
this problem may be because of SharePoint Server.
But we dont have a share point server.

Any ideas or leads will be of great help
FYI..

The app server and db server are the same...

TIA

Hi,
This behavior may occur if you use the URLScan security tool, version 2.0,
in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), and it is not configured
correctly. Please follow the steps in KB321357 at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;321357

The key to getting the right article by an Internet search was the term
"Either there are too many resources, or the Project Server may not have the
correct DSN configuration".

Also, remember to exclude the path: "MSADC"

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;832588

I am having the same problems - and niether article has heped resolve it. I
am concluding for the moment that somewhere in the MSDAC there is a reference
to the wrong SQL database that the project server installation spontaneously
created ("ProjectServer4480" for instance, instead of "ProjectServer" which
is what I had indicated as a default; this is an infuriating aspect of the
installation, caused if you have ever installed the server previously.)
