Problems opening files when stored on encrypted network share.

When I'm storing files using Word 2000 on an encrypted share (3rd party
solution) and later try to open the same file I get an error message telling
me, that the file oder folder name is invalid.

Comparing both files I can really see differences on both files. This
behaviour only exists in Word 2000. Excel, Powerpoint and any other
application don't corrupt files.

Does anybody know if Microsoft is using special tricks when storing Word
2000 files over the network on a NTFS drive like sparse files or reparse
points?
For me it look like some data go around the encryption system and when
opening the file again these data are decrypted. I.e at the end of the
document there are normally a lot of zeros. On the encrypted file there is
garbage. If I save the file on any other drive and copy it then to the
encrypted share everything is fine.

Thanks for any tips.
