I recently installed Office 2003 Pro on all my machines. I had no problems
until I tried opening PowerPoint presentations built in Office 2000. Office
2003 PowerPoint tells me that it can't read the file.

The weird thing, is that when you explore the folder that it is located in,
the first slide of the presentation is displayed in the preview pain.

PowerPoint 2003 was broken out of the box. You need to apply the Service
Pack 1 (SP1) update to fix it. Start up PowerPoint, go to the Help menu,
and choose Check for Updates. Follow the instructions to install SP1, and
you should be fine.
