Problems opening Projects from PWA (Project Server 2007)

I have published a project file to Project Server 2007. Everything appears
to be in good condition. When I select the project and click "Edit", Project
Professional opens on my machine, but the project file does not open
correctly. I get a message that the file format is unrecognizable.

However, when I open the file directly form Project Professional (opening
the file from the project server location), all works correctly.

How can I get the file to open correctly directly from PWA?

I am not sure if this will work, but just a suggestion. Try saving
the project as an .mpp file, then delete it from Project Server. Then
try importing the project to project server. See if it will work
then. Was this originally a Project Server 2003 Project, or was it
created in Project Server 2007? Good luck.

Turns out that it is an issue with IE7/Windows Vista Security. When "Enable
Protected Mode" is turned on, I get this behavior. However, I am able to
open the project plan from when I open Project Professional and browse to my
Project Server (PWA) site. I can also open the project when I am in Project
Professional and go to "Collaborate=>Project Center".

When IE7's protected mode is off, I am able to open the project directly
from Project Server.
