problems printing in word xp

when trying to print from word xp, the page numbers
apear as {PAGE} in the document instead of the numbers
and some pictures don't apear in the printed page,
instead there are lines like : {SHAPE \* MERGEFORMAT}.
what is the problem?

On the Print tab of Tools | Options, clear the check box for "Field codes."
