problems publishing with FP 2002

Bob

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue:

I created a website about 2 years ago, and until lately anytime I made
small changes from within FP I had no problems publishing the changes.

I have been trying everything I can think of the last couple of days,
but with no luck. My ISP says they have not made any changes to the
server or it's config.

When I click "File, Publish" the prompt for my username and password
come up as usual, but now after entering them in, instead of getting a
list of files showing up to date, or needing to be published, I get
nothing. (except the hour glass, which remains until I cancel)

I logged in with no problem using my username and password to the folder
on my ISP's server using FTP, and all the files are there?

Could someone help please? (thanks in advance)

Bob

Hi Bob,

Have you attempted to open the web on the server with FP? If not, please try. Once you've the web open there do a Tools |
Recalchyperlinks. If that all goes well close the web and open the on your local machine and attempt the publish again.

Thanks for the response, I tried that, but it gives me an error " cannot
connect to the server, folder may be inaccessible, or protected with
password, blah, blah, blah"

The folder "http://Website" isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password.
