Problems re-installing Office 97 pro

I am trying to re-install my Office 97 pro, but I keep
getting an error message that reads "Error while
configuring ODBC drivers" "The configuration of the ODBC
microsoft dBase driver (*.dbf) driver failed."
I have disabled my virus protection and retried several
times...
Does anyone have the answer?
