Problems reinstalling Office XP

Program "System Mechanic 6" uninstalled parts or most of my Office XP Pro. I
have been trying to reinstall the Office Program, but get the message"
Windows Installer" ... The installation source for this product is not
available...Verify that the source exist and that you can access it.

I know that the problem is not the CD, because I have a backup copy and that
also gets the same prompt.

Presently, my word and access programs still function and I would hate to
loose any data from either program. Publisher, Front page and the other
Office programs are missing from my start menu and tree.

I followed your instructions. Thank you, the problem is corrected. Thanks
