We have a customer that in their website have a linked excel document that
remote offices should be able to open, edit and save back to the homepage
site.
They say this worked in Office 2003 but when they upgraded to Office 2007
the file just openens in excel as write protected and they are not able to
overwrite it. Saving with another name works fine.
The excel file lies on a unix webserver and the folder i writeable but
password protected to the users need to specify a password to open the file
and a password to save the file.
There's nothing wrong with the file. Copying it to the local disk, opening
and saving works fine. I have tried to make a new test word document and get
the same problem.
Anyone have any clue of how to make this work?
