Problems starting Frontpage 2003 with a white blank page

I am having problems. I purchased Front Page 2003 because I had a problem
with my other version of Front Page. When I click on a new page, I want a
fresh and white web page to start creating. Unfortunately I click on new page
and it opens up what seems to be a template page. It has a yellow side border
and I can't change the background. I do a website with wallpapers and desktop
themes and obviously I need to customize my website background.

I know this issue started when I was messing with templates and do not know
how to restore this. I did the restore to default wizard and it still opens
this ugly page when I click on new page.

I am desperate for help. Please, anyone?

Hi White Witch Lady,

It sounds like you have a default theme of some sort applied to your web.

You can remove it..however that will probably remove it from all pages in
the web that are using it as well. If that isn't a concern then try doing
this:

Go to: Format | Theme | look for "No Theme" in the task pane and click it
| then click the arrow and choose "apply as default theme"

After you remove the current theme..new pages will start without using it
and be blank.

Or if working in a FP Web/Site Shared Borders are applied
- Check Format Shared Borders

If not working in a Web/Site, or if shared borders and/or a theme are not applied, your default new page template has been modified
(open it outside of a web/site to edit it)
To edit it, Search for and edit normal.htm - usually in the folder :
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\Pages11\normal.tem
