Problems w/AutoRecover in Word 2002

Denise Sudell

I use Word 2002 with Windows 98 Second Edition. In Word, I've got my options set so that AutoRecover is supposed to save every 1 minute. This afternoon, I was working on a document when my computer froze and crashed. When I reopened Word, the AutoRecover version of the document that came up was over 40 minutes old. I tried opening the folder where the AutoRecover documents are supposed to be saved, but when I clicked on the appropriate file, I was told that the path was incorrect. (I've also checked the "Always Create Backup Copy" box under Options, but no backup copy of this document seems to exist -- stupid me, I hadn't saved it in a folder or given it a name yet.) Can anyone help? I really would prefer not to have to recreate all of that work. Thanks.
