Hi

I´ve created a new category with particularies projects that can be
seem by specifics resources.
But there are two projects that no one of the resources can see, even

What can be happening?

Have the projects been published? Are the any "Deny"'s in use in your
permissions? If no one can see them, how do you know they are on the
server? Let us know where they can be seen and where they can't be.
Also, the version of Project Server you are using will help as we look
at more details.

yes.
All the project are published and there is no "Deny" in my permission.
And still all the resources of this new category and also the
administrator can't see the two projects at Project Center in PWA.

When you create a custom Category and then add it to individual user
accounts, you must specify what permissions are enabled for the projects
specified in the Category. In the Users and Groups section of the Add or
Edit Category page for your custom Category, select the first resource that
you added to the Category. Notice how the system displays the Permissions
grid for the selected resource. In the Permissions grid, you need to set
the "View Project Summary in Project Center" permission to Allow, and
probably the "View Project Details in Project Center" permissions as well.
Select other permissions as needed. You can also apply permissions quickly
by applying them using one of the available templates at the bottom of the
Permissions grid. You will then need to do this for each resource to set
the same Category permissions for each of them.

I must warn you, however, that you are making a lot of extra work for
yourself if you added individual users to the new custom Category. A much
easier approach is to create a custom Group, add the users to the Group, add
the Category to the Group, and then set the Permissions and Global
Permissions from a template. Voila! It's all done quickly and easily.
Hope this helps.

Hi Dale!!!

I know that is much easier to create a Group and then add this Group
to the Category. But it wasn't me that did that (it was a costumer...
when I got there, the category already exists).
But my woeey is that the resources in Users and Groups already have
those permissions ("View Project Summary in Project Center" and "View
Project Details in Project Center").
There are 7 projects at this Category, but only 2 of then that we
can't see at Project Center. Even the Administrator, as I've said.
What it can be?

Juliana:

If this is a permissions problem, it's likely due to a convoluted security
scheme, which is apparent from your posts. Nobody help you with that without
seeing the system. The other possibility is plan corruption. Obviously, if
you can open and publish the projects, then you can see them. The fact that
they do not appear to be publishing could indicate corruption. Can you
publish new projects and have them visible in this category? If so, I'd
consider saving the plans to mpp files, and then import them back to the
server to see if that helps.
