Problems with adjusting text boxes

I prepare a newsletter by creating text boxes and filling them with assorted
text. Each page may have two to eight boxes of various sizes and postions.
They must be moved and resized to fit as necessary. In the last few months,
some boxes jump to new positions or off the page when new boxes are created
in empty spaces or when boxes are resized. Occasionally, whole pages
disappear or are created. I didn't have this problem before, and I can't
figure out how to stop it. I am using Word, Office XP Professional on
Windows XP. I was originally using Word 2000 on Windows 98.

Not sure if this will help, but I think it might:
Select each text box and from the Format menu, select 'Format Text
Box'. Choose the 'Layout' tab and then click the 'Advanced' button.

Under 'Options', check the boxes "Allow Overlap" and "Lock anchor" and
un-check the box "Move object with text".

Also check the "Text Wrapping" options that you have set - you want
either "Behind text" or "In front of text" - not 'Inline, Square or
Tight'.

Hope this helps.
