it sounds very much as though you have answered the
question yourself. as you say if the cd's you have created
before worked but don't now following the installation of
norton internet security, then it is obviously blocking
the autorun.inf and other associated files.
i would recommend looking at norton

there is a known discrepency with Notrton Antivirus, you
