After I installed Office Basic 2003, I have the following problems:
With Word, the installer shows up briefly, the goes away, but the program
does come up. However, if I try to open an existing document, it will load
the program, but will not open the document. That is, I have to first load
the program and then go to the file menu to open a document. This is a
problem with our Sharepoint portal, etc., because I have to download every
document to view it.
The Excel program has the same problem as Word as far as not being able to
access a document without first loading the program. But when I LOAD the
program, it tells me it has to install a "Microsoft Excel Feature".
I did disable the Norton Anti-Virus program, but that didn't do anything.
It has been suggested that because I have multiple OS' on my workstation
that this could be causing the problem?
