Problems With Custom Worksheets

I tried making a custom worksheet and either inserting into a current book or
starting a new book using that worksheet as the standard sheet for that book.
When I've tried starting a new book with that particular sheet the first
page is right but after that the next two pages are in the default format. If
I try to insert a new worksheet I'll get one custom and two more defaults?
I've done everything the instructions tell me but it still dosen't work.
Help would be appreciated.

Hi

You can set up a default sheet template (called sheet.xlt) and a default
book template (called book.xlt). Save these in your XLStart folder and they
will become the defaults for new sheets/books.
