Problems with Inserting Rows

Morning Everyone

In my previous version of Excel I could click on a row and then "Insert copied cells" anywhere on the sheet (as a new row). My problem is that with this version (2003 professional), when I try and re-insert the row, all the formulas have been converted to values. How do I switch back to inserting the row with formulas

Many thanks in advanc

Inserting a row seems to work the same in Excel 2003 as in earlier versions,
but maybe if you lay out the _precise_ steps to duplicate the problem
someone can help you. In particular "re-insert the row" is unclear.

Jim, many thanks. I'll try and be more clear

My spreadsheet calculates client costs and is grouped (in rows) by clients name. Each client has more than one product and each row consists of the client name, product, how many, cost, etc... The easiest was for me to add a new entry for a client is the copy the entire row (which contains mostly formulas), and "insert copied cells". Now this works OK provided I only want to insert the row dirctly below the row I have copied. But, I have a sheet for "Not Paid Yet", and another for "Paid and delivered". Instead of making a new entry in "Paid ....", I copy the row from "Not Paid" and insert copied cells (in the old version). XP will not let me do this. I have to insert a row, then paste the cells into the new blank row. Unfortunately, when it pastes, it pastes as values not as formulas

I want to be able to copy a row from "Not Paid" and insert copied cells with the formulas intact into "Paid ..."

If you could tell me how to acheive this I would be most grateful. Perhaps I have to change the settings or something

Many thank

Jay
