Problems with my documents

I use microsoft word. I have several items saved in
documents. I can't get into them. I have tried everything
I can think of. When I go in to open a saved document, it
comes back telling me that I'm dangerously low on
resources. I have checked and its at over 80% then it will
lock the computer up. I have also gotten error codes that
I have winword error...

Can anyone help me.
