problems with office xp with front page

wheneveer i start word from the pack in the title above i
get the following message

'the file (name here) is not available'

eg.

'the file french is not available'

and when i shut down word it says

'the file normal allready exists do you want to replace
the exisiting file'

with the options yes no or cancle

when i press no i get the save box i press cancle and
then go to close the program again

get thge same message press no and the program closes

this started the same time that my nortan antivirus went
ofline

i have tried un-instaklling this and then reinstaling
this and nothing works even when the the antivirus
software is of

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the office
product and nothing happens either

i have just downloaded and installed sp3 and no
difference there either.

this problem applies to all the programs form the pack in
the title.

please help me as i need thease programs for my gcse
courswork

ps. - if somone can give me a free image hosting site
then i will post screen shots of the problem step by step.

If you're running Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in, which causes
both these problems.

i can try but it came with the computer and the trial had
just run out when i un/reinstalled the program it is
still on my system but i cant open it up

ill try that and let you know if i can do it or not

no luck

cannot open nortan antivirus and the semantac search
doesnt seem to come up with ne thing usefull

also forgot to mention that at startup the problem seems
to happen when word requests a virus scan wich relates to
what you were sayin

If the trial version has expired, then you might as well uninstall it; it
will not be usable unless you buy the full retail version.

ive tried that but the programs im having problems with
still wont load however i am hoping to get a copy soon
