I have a number of users in my organization that don't have their own Email
accounts, as we don't want to be giving Email addresses to everyone. They
do, however, have Acive Directory accounts for logging in and having their
own profile.
I have gone in and set it up so they all have full rights to one general
Email account, so they can all check this account whenever they want. I set
up one user to check this account in Outlook under their profile, and it
worked fine - she could check messages and send messages on the other
account's behalf.
Once I set up another user to check that Email account under their profile,
suddenly neither user can send Email messages on this account's behalf. I
checked, and both users have full rights to this Email account (in Active
Directory). However, when I log in with the user account they are checking
Email for, and I go into Delegate and try to give them rights to that Inbox,
I can't, because the users checking this account have AD accounts, but they
do not have Email addresses.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is it because I've set up more than one
user to exclusively check the Email of someone else? Or is it maybe because
I haven't given each user enough privileges?
I hope I'm explaining this all correctly...thanks in advance to anyone who
can help!
