Problems with Word

When I bring up Word 2000 I can no longer type within
word... I thought it may be my keyboard but I can type in
Wordpad, Notepad, and Dos prompt... Excel Access all are
the same and will not accept input... I uninstalled office
last night and then reinstalled it and it still does the
same thing... Can anyone help?

Hi Eric,

What version of Office are you using? If Office XP or 2003 then it
could be an activation issue. Check your status bar and see if it
reflects "This document locked for edit".

If so then did you activate Office? Is your version of Office an
evaluation copy?

Go to Help/Activate Product to either activate Office or to obtain a
phone number you can call for assistance in activation issues.

Hey Beth,

I got it fixed now... I just ran the reinstallation CD
last night and started from scratch... Always a fix but
not fun... Not sure exactly what caused the problem maybe
a virus but Housecall did not detect one so I just don't
know... I am using Office 2000 btw and thanks for the
help...
