I don't know if I'm in the right forum but this is the only one I found
that could possibly be relevent. If there is a better site to go to for help
and support any help in directing me toward one would be helpfull.
Recently, I have experienced a problem with ALL Office programs
(Student and Teacher eddition 2003). When I try to load up one of the Office
programs, say for instance Outlook, the program will simply not load after
the shortcut for it is double clicked. In the case of Word the splashscreen
appears and it shows up in the task manager; however, that is as far as it
gets. The problems seems to occur only after I have started AOL 9.0, and the
problem persists even after I shut the AOL down. If I had anouther means of
internet access I would get rid of AOL, but at the moment I have no other
options. I think AOL is somehow trying to use, access, or interface with
Office programs and causes an error which prevents them from functioning. I
feel this idea is confirmed by A) the fact that Office functions if AOL has
not been loaded on a reboot, and B) when I tried to uninstall Office I was
told one or more programs needed to be shut down in order to continue (which
usually means the program that needs to be shut down is somehow using or
running a part of the program you are trying to install), and the only
program listed is AOL. Can anyone help me with this problem or redirect to
me to an place where this question has been answered? I have searched the
Microsoft KB but only found an article concerning AOL as it relates to
downloading and viewing certain image files.
