Problens with the Beta 2 TR

JoanaPinho

Like other people, who have messages in this discussion group, I use Office
2007, since July without problens and recentely I downloaded and installed
B2TR.
Since that, I can't work with the applications Office 2007; in Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Picture Manager all the menus are disconfiguerate; Excel produce
un error and close in the same moment.
My version of windows is XP, home edition.

I tried to remove the update or Office 2007 but the computer don't allow it.

How to remove B2TR?
How I can solve this problem?

Thanks!

Hi Joana,

When you installed the Technical Refresh update to MS Office 2007 Beta 2 did you have a minimum of 2GB free space on the drive that
holds MS Windows?

When you get the error message and click on the more information button and the 'report contains...' buttons what is the information
shown there?

There isn't a separate uninstall for just the Tech Refresh Patch(es). You'd need to uninstall Office 2007, restart the PC then
install Beta 2 again.

Hi
I think that the computer had 2Gb free, now I have 3,34Gb in the disc (C:)....

In Excel the error messagem, shoow this information:
Firma del erro
AppName: excel.exe
AppVer: 12.0.4407.1004
AppStamp:44edba64
ModName: mso.dll
ModVer: 12.0.4407.1005
ModStamp:44f0c190
fDebug: 0
Offset: 0001c0a0

I treid to uninstall the Beta 2 (start, control panel, add/remove programes)
but the computer don't allow it. Can I do it with other way?
And, can I use Beta 2 without the TR?

Thanks.

Looking at your username, could it be that you installed the Spanish
Office 2007? And if you did, did you make sure to install the Spanish
B2TR or did you install the English one? If you still have the B2TR
file, then it should say "es-es" at the end of the filename for the
Spanish one. If you installed the English one (or the Spanish B2TR onto
an English B2), then download the Spanish (or English) B2TR and install
it. That should solve your Ribbon problem. The B2TR download page has a
language chooser box, where you can select the appropriate language.
Note that you need to press "Change" after you selected it. The download
page will then reload in the chosen language.
If you didn't mix languages, how exactly is your Ribbon messed up? Do
you have e.g. labels on the ribbon overlapping each other, so that they
become unreadable?
