Process Flow Methodology - looking for resources

P

Process Mapper

I'm not new to process mapping, but I am trying to develop a methodology and
set of standards for my company. Can anyone recommend some good resources for
things like file naming conventions, level-of-detail standardization,
collaboration techniques, etc?

I'm also trying to find other "process mappers" that I can network with -
this forum is more technical than I need - I'm focused more on methodology.

Thanks,

I don't know if there is any standard for PFM. You can google process flow
diagrams and perhaps find something there -- there are all kinds of
examples. But, ultimately, sounds like you get to create/define the standard
and methodology. Find out what the employees do, how/why, what's in common,
what's different, and then put together something makes sense. Visio is a
resource tool that aids you in putting it together once you make your
decisions.

Thanks WapperDude. I have googled, but I really am not finding anything. I'm
sure it's just not interesting enough for people to post about. I'm trying to
not reinvent the wheel, but it looks like I may have to do that. What a
boring topic - there are so many things I'd rather work on!
Thanks,
PM
