I'm trying to help a colleague with a problem on her laptop.
Operating System: Win xp
Outlook: 2003
Connection: VPN to Exchange Server
She was out of the office all last week, and although Remote mail was not
active in the "Send/Receive Groups" setting, outlook set itself to 'work
offline' and started downloading headers.
most of these resolved themselves when she said to delete or download,
however there is one that is 'stuck'. We have tried setting it to download,
or alternatively to delete from server, however when we select Process
Marked Headers (either the "all" option, or the "in this folder" option),
nothing happens. the email wont go away.
I have tried following the Help advice on setting up remote mail, but when
i activate it, it says to click on the check box next to "inbox", and then
follow the instructions to set up an .ost file. Nothing happens when i
click on the checkbox (which is already checked, and showing this 1 email),
and there are no .ost files in the DataFiles list.
since this email has been causing problems, others have come in as headers,
and been able to be processed, but this one still just sits there. Any
suggestions?
