process meeting acceptance without opening it

I would like to be able to process meeting acceptances that come into my
inbox, such that my calendar item is updated (showing their response), but
without having to manually open them. I would like to set up a Rule that
will move these to another folder, but processes it and update my calendar as
well. I have set up a rule to move this immediately to a folder, but these
are not getting "processed" and my calendar does not get updated. I thought
that invitees were not responding, when in actuality they were but were not
getting loaded to my calendar. Ideally, I a script or process to be run by
the Rule that would also update the calendar entry would solve the problem.

Diane:
Thanks for the response. However, the script you pointed me to is to Auto
Accept someone elses meeting requests.

In my situation these are my requests that I sent to others, they accept and
the acceptance is coming back to my inbox. I would like toprocess their
acceptance and update my existing calendar entry to show they accepted. This
way when I go to Tracking I see their response, but don't have the nuisance
of having to manually open each acceptance from my inbox.

You might be able to do it using a script - see

Right - you should be able to do that with a script and can use the script
as a sample to get you pointed in the right direction. I'm not aware of any
prewritten script that does what you want, unfortunately, so you need to
write one yourself.

So where do I find the reference manual for commands available in the
scripting language?

In google. :)

outlook+scripts+for+rules

or just
outlook+vbscript

or just
vbscript

outlookcode.com has some information but you might find something close to
what you need in google.
