Product Activation does it exist?

I had a trial of Office 2003 which when clicked 'Product Activation' nothing
at all happened - I have now purchased the full versin, installed it,
un-installed it, re-installed it and at no point will 'Product Activation' do
anything at all. I am locked out, down the cost of Office 2003 and desperate
..... please help me. Thanks.
