I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite A100 notebook and it came with OneNote
on it, but when I try to open it it asks for the product code. As far as I
can tell, it was supposed to have come free with the laptop and I can't see a
product code in any of the documents that came with my computer.

I'd suggest to ask Toshiba support.
