for office 2003, how many computers can i put it on?

Don't people /read/ EULAs anymore?!

OEM - one, the system it came installed on or, in the case of a copy that
was purchased with an item of non-peripheral hardware, the first system it's
installed on.

Retail - one desktop and one laptop, provided that

a) They are for the exclusive use of the licencee
b) They are not, and never will be, in simultaneous use

STE - three systems in whatever combination (please note this only applies
to STE 2003 and /not/ STE XP).
