Product Key message saying invalid

I just purchased an online version of Home and Student online and when I
entered the product key, it says I am entering the wrong product key. I have
repeated the process many times and would like a refund if it will not load
properly. I had a trial version before, tried to uninstall it. It is not
working

Who did you purchase it from? How did you acquire the key? Did you call the
people you bought the software from?
