Product Key Problem after Reboot

B

Big R

I have installed 2003 Office Professional on my laptop and my desktop to no
avail.
After installing and rebooting; then opening an Office program a Product Key
window appears. After entering same it states that the code is invalid!!
Everything has been loaded including Micro Soft Updates
successfully/finished. You cannot proceed further. I have de-installed and
re-installed.
The disk is for distrubution with a new PC. Anybody ever experience this?

You have an OEM version of Office 2003. An OEM version can only
be installed on *one* computer. An OEM version usually comes
preinstalled on a computer by the computer manufacturer, but I'm
guessing you found a too-good-to-be-true deal on your copy of
Office. If you want to install Office 2003 Professional on both
your laptop and desktop computers, then you need to purchase a
retail version.
