1. Don't post in all caps. It's considered yelling, and that's rude.

2. Are you talking about the trial version that comes preinstalled on a lot
of new computers?

B

BLUEPRINCESS

Take the keyboard back to the store and ask them for one that can type
little letters too..

Re. the product key, are you trying to use the key that is printed on a
sticker affixed to your computer?..

Assuming that it is a retail version, i.e. it did not come
pre-installed on your other computer, if you've uninstalled it from
your other computer it should work on your new computer. You may need
to use the phone activation method and explain the situation to
Microsoft.

funny...
no im using the yellow sticker on the back of the disc case. it is 25
numbers and letters and it says (on the very top of the sticker) that it is
the product key

When entering key codes, letters and numbers can become confused.. note that
the numbers that are part of keycodes are sometimes just ever so slightly
bigger than the letters.. in this way, the numeral '8' can't be confused
with the letter 'B'.. that's the theory, anyway..

Brian, Hi are you saying I have to uninstall from my other computer to be
able to install it on this other computer??? sorry if I sound naive, when it
comes to computers I am very behind.

Thank you very much Mr.Mike, I've been trying to install this program ever
since like 3 weeks ago, but I can seem to find the problem, I have tried
typing the key codes with and without my glasses and it comes up with the
same message. Thank you though. It might just be I'm blind as a bat huh, i
think I'll let someone else try to key the code in, thank you.

If your new computer came with a trial version of Office 2003
preinstalled on the hard drive by the computer manufacturer, then
you should have uninstalled the trial version before installing
your full version. At this point, uninstall the full version,
uninstall the trial version, and reinstall the full version. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836178 "You receive an
'invalid product key' error message when you start an Office 2003
program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003" for
more information.

If you have a retail copy of Office 2003 Professional, then you
can install it on one desktop computer and one laptop computer
both owned by you. If you have an OEM copy of Office 2003
Professional (it came preinstalled on your old computer by the
computer manufacturer), then you are not allowed to transfer the
software to your new computer.

Wow, thank you so much..I have finally found the solution to my problem.
Thank you all, I really appreciate your help. I was unaware that this free
trial was what was making my life so complicated. Thank you all so much, this
is a very helpful website and I will make sure to let others know. Thank
You!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. After two or three attempts,
It finally validated last night. I tried to call Microsoft to
validate over the phone, but received a message to call back
later because they were doing maintenance. Anyway all is
well now.
