professional 2000 in Vista

Paml06

I have been able to install my office professional 2000 successfully on my
new Vista machine, but it wants me to go through at least a partial set up
each time that I open outlook, (ie: welcome to outlook... previous email
setup you want to use? etc) and then it doesn't always download my mail to my
machine - I have to go to the server at comcast to get new emails half the
time. When I try to look at the office assistant gallery, it tells me that
there is not enough memory for the task (obviously not the case - new
computer - try just after logging on - etc - and I LIKE to see the kitty on
the screen while I am droning away :) Any Ideas?

Thank you in advance

The problem with Outlook configuring each time is well known. The method to get your preferred Office Assistant installed is to do a custom installation and pick your assistant to install from the Office tools menu.
