profile acts up on occasion

Office computer Windows 97 on NT 4.0 - Boss's word documents will occasionally print profile items at end of document like what font he used, size of font, etc. But If he trys to save the doc then put in a folder on server that others can access - his document will be correct. But if he opens it - it reverts to a profile he never set up. We have tried wiping out the profile altogether and having him reset it. But then it will happen again in a few months. Do you know what causes this (Sorry so long)

When he opens the Word file, does he choose to open it again and show
recovered text?

Hi Melita,

More than likely the documents are opening in Recover text from any file format.

Take a look in the File/Open dialog box and make sure the "Files of Type" is set to Word Documents or All Word Documents.

I don't think so. He saves it and then reopens the doc and then the format is totally changed. It also only happens on his computer.

I will try that. Thanks
