Profits modeling and CashFlow

Hi!
For today we in the organization had a question: if it is possible to model
incomes (Profit) during the project (aka Profit&Loss) and how to solve a
problem cashflow? What's your best practice?
Thanks

DG,
Best practice? Use an accounting application, not Project. Project is a
planning and scheduling application. It is neither designed for nor good
at accounting.

Project has the capability to track cost but only to the point of
telling the user how much a particular task (and series of tasks) will
cost in terms of material and labor. That's pretty much it. Profit and
cash flow are best handled with another application.
